Loop yourself without a pedal

Set the tempo, pick 2, 4 or 8 bars, take the one-bar count-in and play. Then solo over what you just recorded.

What it does

  • Type in a tempo and choose a 2, 4 or 8 bar loop.
  • Hit record and you get one bar of count-in clicks first.
  • It records against the click and trims your take to whole bars, so you don't have to land a pedal on the one.
  • Keep the click on while it loops, or turn it off. Stop the loop or clear it and go again.

It uses your mic. The page says nothing is uploaded.

Comping a few bars and then soloing over them is where Solo Mastery lives. Its first big section is twelve ways to reshape one simple phrase, so a small vocabulary can carry a whole solo.
